Heat Pump Rebates in Victoria: What You Need to Know

You’ve probably heard that installing a heat pump can get you a rebate — but how does it actually work?
Here’s a simple guide to the VEU program, STCs, and what they mean for your wallet.
Victorian Energy Upgrades (VEU)
Available to eligible Victorian households
Applies to upgrading from electric/gas to heat pump
Rebate is applied upfront (we do it for you)
Amount varies depending on system, provider, and location
STCs (Small-scale Technology Certificates)
Federal incentive that applies to most heat pumps
Value depends on zone and system capacity
Can be claimed alongside VEU (no double handling)
